All grapes from our own vineyards are picked by hand. This implies rigorous selection directly on the vine - only fully ripe, unscathed fruit ends up in the cellar. By the way: we have no irrigation systems in our vineyards. It is true that in extremely dry years it may happen that we forgo one or another harvest from young vineyards. On the other hand, the vines will root substantially more deeply, thus releasing extra aromas and flavors as well as power into the grapes.

Harbingers of Springtime
The cowslips and the pheasant’s eyes are blooming in our vineyard Ried Durr.
The blackthorns and wild cherries are gleaming vibrant white at the edge of the woods around Gloria and on the slopes.
Springtime is arriving on the Leitha Range, and we are busy binding the last of the shoots onto the wires.
